The idea is to deviate from the original starting force of historical scenarios to see what could have happened
This will come a cheap in-app purchase

Examples for Coral Sea
- No Doolittle raid. Enterprise and Hornet are available
- Full Kido-Butai. All the Japanese Fleet CVs are committed
- No US raid on Salamua. The Coral Sea battle takes place in April. Lexington is not available and the Japanese may only align Kaga as fleet carrier


Examples for Midway:
- The Coral Sea battle has not taken place or at least without carriers. Lexington, Shokaku and Zuikaku are available
- Yorktown not repaired on time
- The Japanese managed to commit the Zuikaku
- No operation AL. The Japanese forces allocated to the Aleutian islands are committed against Midway instead

Open for discussion for any scenario actually




May be a what-if where the US have not totally cracked the IJN code and you have to face unknown force bearing to unknown objectives. Up to you to get the right set-up

Just one comment on the examples: If Coral Sea has not taken place, then the Yorktown doesn't need to be repaired.—Phil

Hmmm, sounds good, but the variables would be to broad and complex.  If the US had not broken the code, then how do we know what ships will be needed.  Also, if Operation Orange was in place, does this mean Pearl Harbor would not have happened or the extent of damage happened, because those battleships are included in the game FlatTops.  It might be cool if there was an extension app that permits players to create their own historical events, well might not be historical.  Just a thought.  (Still waiting for a 2-player option 😎)

I like these! 
A favourite of mine is to have the Japanese delay Midway a couple of weeks. Add USS SARATOGA to the U.S. side. 
Delay the battle a month and add ZUIKAKU to the Japanese side as well.

Yes the Zuikaku could be available with a depleted complement but with an air radar
The Saratoga is also an option. In this case, the Yorktown don't get planes from the Sara and fight with a depleted complement

2. Inclusion of Wasp


3. "Tokyo Express" instead of/in addition to TRS

4. The thing is, IJN is pretty much too unbalanced with the inclusion of Hiyo
5. Need to think of something in favor of IJN, but need some more time...
